British indie rockers alt-J are coming over to rock Australian stages yet again this December. The band will first be performing at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre before showing off their art-electro, math-folk and hymnal-rock sound at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne. The International Convention Centre Sydney and Brisbane Riverstage will then be next on queue to get a taste of the bands eccentric musicality.

alt-J first came together at Leeds University 10 years ago and since then, they have become one of the most successful British bands of the millennium. Three years of worldwide touring have forged the band’s reputation as a fierce live act. They have torn up festival stages across the globe, including Australia’s very own Falls Music and Arts Festival, and on their last international tour, alt-J sold out the London’s iconic O2 Arena and New York’s legendary Madison Square Garden.

"alt-J aren't just masters of their trade, they're innovators." - Digital Spy

"The band’s eccentricity and musical genius [are] a welcome part of the Australian music tour scene." - Music Feeds

The band is set to release the hotly-anticipated third album, 'Relaxer' on Friday 2 June (via Liberator Music/Infectious Music/BMG) on CD, heavyweight vinyl and digitally. Prior to that date, '3WW' as well as 'In Cold Blood' and 'Adeline' have been made available to fans.

Relaxer is the third offering from alt-J after their Grammy and Brit Award-nominated 'This Is All Yours' and their 2012 Mercury Prize and an Ivor Novello Award-winning debut 'An Awesome Wave'. The first two albums have sold in excess of two million copies worldwide and their songs have been streamed well over one billion times.

Los Angeles quartet Warpaint will be joining alt-J at all shows. Warpaint’s studio albums emphasise moody atmospheres, with gauzy keyboards, hypnotic harmonies, and sinister grooves. In concert, they pair this moodiness with bumped-up tempos and powerful beats. Their live performances dazzle, and their shows are met with much delight from fans and critics alike.
