Led by bass player Pete Jeavons, the Swan River Ramblers (SRR) were formed in 2017 and, true to their name, the group performs mainly in a roving format aboard the Paddlesteamer Decoy as it cruises the Swan River during WA’s warmer months.
After a couple of sold-out shows in Dec 2020 and June 2021, the Ramblers will once again take to the stage at the Navy Club on Sunday December 12th, for what will be their third Jazz Fremantle performance. Featuring Adam Hall (trumpet/vocals), Adrian Galante (clarinet), Ray Walker (guitar/vocals), Daniel Susnjar (drums) and of course Pete Jeavons (double bass), the Swan River Ramblers are proving popular with Jazz Fremantle regulars so do book in early to avoid missing out.
The band performs music from a wide spectrum of styles, drawing repertoire from jazz & swing standards, trad. jazz classics, bebop, blues, New Orleans style music, gypsy jazz and more. Combining a wealth of performance experience, with instrumental virtuosity and a keen sense of spontaneity the Swan River Ramblers will deliver a great afternoon of musical entertainment that is guaranteed to please.
