Following Cathrine’s roaring success with her 2019 Johnny Walker Jazz Club series at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel, she is now teaming up with both Tanqueray and Rambla on Swan to bring a unique concert series experience to the citizens of South Perth. Join Summers and her quartet as they perform a fortnightly series of four of their favourite shows in Cathrine’s lineup—Vintage Hollywood Jazz (Mar 5), A Summers Night in Paris (Mar 19), Great Ladies of Jazz (Apr 2) and A Swingin’ Gatsby Jazz Club, hot off the heels of the premiere performances at Fringeworld 2020

Vintage Hollywood Jazz:
Kickback and take a load off as popular jazz songstress Cathrine Summers brings you a cheeky night of classics picked from the golden age of Hollywood. Cathrine and her band will explore from the roaring 20’s through to the 50’s, featuring many of their (and hopefully yours) favourite jazz songs like ‘As Time Goes By’ featured throughout the incredible movie ‘Cassablana’ and ‘Moon River’ from ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. Other outstanding classics feature in this upbeat show such as ‘I Get A Kick Out of You’, ‘Cheek to Cheek’, ‘Anything Goes’ and many more.

A Summers Night in Paris:
Be transported into a Parisian jazz club for an enchanting show presented by Cathrine Summers and her band. Come and get lost in the magic of yesteryear in Paris, featuring performances of French classics such as Edith Piaf’s ‘Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien’, Charles Trenet’s ‘Que Restet Il’, ‘Milord’, and many more songs reminiscent of the era such as Ella Fitzgerald’s rendition of ‘April in Paris’.

Great Ladies of Jazz:
Cathrine Summers, brings you Great Ladies of Jazz, a show with swinging classics paying homage to the great singers that have shaped and inspired jazz music of today. Together with her quartet, Cathrine will present a host of toe-tapping favourites from the classic ladies of jazz such as Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone and Julie London. Also featuring in this delightful collection are songs from velvety, playful and emotive iconic songs from the likes of Peggy Lee, Edith Piaf and Doris Day.

A Swingin’ Gatsby Jazz Club:
The roaring 20s are back and it’s a Cotton Club extravaganza with popular singer Cathrine Summers! This lively show is a mix of old jazz, French classics and trad-jazz reworkings of pop songs like Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’. Wear your finest Gatsby attire, sequined gowns and flapper dresses.
