Ian Moss - Six Strings Classics 2016

Aussie rock legend Ian Moss has announced that he will be heading out on a national solo acoustic theatre tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of his classic 2005 album, Six Strings.

Recorded at Sydney's Sandringham Hotel with a Maton 808 acoustic guitar, three pick-ups and three microphones, Moss' live album went on to become one of the most country's most beloved rock albums.

The tour will see Moss perform an intimate two hour show for fans, which will kick off in February in Melbourne to Hobart, while his March perfomances will include Canberra, Wollongong, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, North Gosford and Hunter Valley. After a week, he will then head to Sydney, Geelong, Warrnambool, Swan Hill, Wendouree, Orange, Dubbo, Horsham and Ararat for his April tour. May performances will be held in Lismore, Port Macquarie, Mildura, Renmark, Warragul, Mandurah, Albany, Bunbury, Whyalla and will conclude in Port Pirie.

"Doing these shows remind me time and time again that it’s all about how you play," Moss said of his upcoming shows.

"I'm amazed at how much colour and variation and emotion I've been able to get with just voice, guitar and a foot tapping on the floor. Less is more."
